As of the signing of the agreement, BK8 will serve as the new front-of-shirt (FOS) sponsor for Aston Villa Football Club.
As part of the agreement, the company has promised to donate to charity for the next three seasons, which runs until the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
In an effort to raise awareness, BK8 has collaborated with mental health organisations for the last two years.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our support for local charities as part of our exciting new association with Aston Villa," stated Michael Gatt, Managing Director of BK8 EMEA, when asked about the brand's charitable goals.
We want to be a part of a prominent institution like Aston Villa Football Club so that we can repay the supporters for their devotion, which is a major factor.
"We have pledged, as a football-focused brand over the past few years, to support the local community initiatives of our partners and to keep working hard to achieve our goals in this area."
"We are excited about the prospect of exciting collaborations with BK8 that will help to grow both brands, particularly within Southeast Asia," stated an Aston Villa representative.
This agreement follows a vote by Premier League clubs to end their sponsorship by FOS Gaming just before the UK's White Paper on gambling reform is published.
Aston Villa may go ahead and make the deal with BK8 because the ban will be in effect starting from the 2026/27 season.
“The commercial reality is that to teams outside the top six, such sponsors offer clubs twice as much financially as non-gambling companies,” said Christian Purslow, chief executive of Villa, earlier this year, expressing his public displeasure with the ban and bringing attention to the fact that clubs outside of the 'big six' have a harder time financially competing.
