The Polish second tier of men's professional football, Fortuna 1 Liga, has named Statscore, a sports data and statistics firm located in Poland, as its Official League Statistics Partner.
The pay-per-view model of football matches will be supported by Statscore, which is already the Official Data Provider of the league and will continue to offer statistics and data from league matches.
In addition, the Fortuna 1 Liga websites will receive data from Statscore in real-time, and the broadcasting partners on television will also receive this data.
"We are delighted to extend our collaboration until the 2023-24 season," stated Marcin Janicki, President of Pierwsza Liga Piłkarska, Fortuna 1 Liga: "Thanks to the solid relationship we have developed with Statscore over the last few years, we are excited to continue.
Our fan interaction strategy relies heavily on the match data provided by Statscore, and the technical support they gave in creating a PPV option for our followers was also essential.
An organisation that provides sports data feeds and services, LSports, bought Statscore in November 2022.
Dotan Lazar, co-founder and chief executive officer of LSports, expressed his optimism that the acquisition—the company's first in Europe—would spur the development of new business-to-business goods and technology for both firms.
"We are honoured to have been selected as the Statistics Partner for the Fortuna 1 Liga," stated Dariusz Łęczyński, CEO of Statscore.
We are grateful for the opportunity to continue improving the match experience for fans by providing them with up-to-date coverage, and this relationship shows the league's confidence in us as their provider.
Working with Fortuna 1 Liga furthers our mission to improve the sport and provide fans with an unforgettable experience!
