A new extensive movement has just been launched by the Dutch gambling regulator, Kansspelautoriteit, also known as KSA. We are actively pursuing affiliates who are advertising illegal and online gambling on their websites.

Just a few months from now, the Dutch online gambling market will be live. That being said, Saudi Arabia is currently completing a few last-minute tasks related to their market. All unlawful gaming operations that are happening in our country right now are now being addressed by it.

According to KSA's statement, the regulator is regularly looking into affiliate marketing for online gaming. Research on the promoted online games of chance is also underway.

As part of their earlier round of actions against these affiliates, KSA inspected 44 websites and recorded their findings. Immediate sanctions were also a part of it, along with several external reports.

It is currently entirely forbidden in the Netherlands to make marketing or provide online games of chance under any legal statute. It must be replaced without delay. Nevertheless, after numerous postponements, the Remote Gambling Act ultimately went into effect on 1st April. On October 1st, the Dutch online gaming sector will formally launch.

All interested operators can immediately apply for the licence to offer online games of chance, as the legislative framework is currently in action. But it's against the law to sell them without a licence.

The development of an online gaming market in the Netherlands is a lengthy process. After multiple setbacks, the most recent of which occurred in January of this year, the country's online gambling sector is now prepared to launch.

It took a little longer to implement because those in authority believed it would likely lead to a significantly improved regulatory climate. Sander Dekker, a major player in this game launch, was the one who thought up his comments. According to him, earlier he had decided to let people know that KSA is now planning to enter the force on March 1, 2021.

Parallel to this, implementation is also moving along with a lot of vigour. Thorough implementations should take a bit more time; this much is now obvious to everyone engaged with this game launch.

Prior to this, KSA had also arranged meetings with the relevant parties. Due to the time required for the whole setup, the stakeholders agreed to delay it. Additionally, the governing organisation has confirmed the game's release. In light of this timeline, the regulatory authority stated that it was decided upon following consultations with all parties involved.

Still, we should wait to see how long it takes to properly clean up all these unlawful gambling operators and their harmful ads. Also, it will be very clear in a few days how this new market is performing.
